What We Do

We use our education development model to:

Help organisations set up support schools in developing countries for children that need an extra boost to their studies.

Train head teachers in sustainable school improvement to make a positive difference to the futures of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Focus on academic outcomes, character* and culture.

* Community-defined character strengths including leadership, resilience and communication

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It’s easy. Just click “Edit Text” or double click me to add your own content and make changes to the font. Feel free to drag and drop me anywhere you like on your page. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

This is a great space to write long text about your company and your services. You can use this space to go into a little more detail about your company. Talk about your team and what services you provide. Tell your visitors the story of how you came up with the idea for your business and what makes you different from your competitors. Make your company stand out and show your visitors who you are.

A Future Changing App

We are in the process of developing an android app that will immediately help head teachers with data management – an essential part of knowing what is happening in your school and a foundation for school improvement.

The app will also have fantastic mini-courses for head teachers and new teachers to aid professional development and the sharing of best practice!

It’s going to be awesome!

Trials begin in 2019.

How We Work

Above all, we put relationship before anything else.

Sustained change doesn’t happen without it.

We are a family, not an intervention.

Our primary focus is the head teacher. Invest in them and you change the present and the future as they, in turn, invest in their teachers and students.

We specifically:

  • Work with local governance.

  • Engage in a culturally relevant way.

  • Train teachers how to track student outcomes objectively.

  • Facilitate schools to share best practice.

  • Measure and evaluate what we do and use it to improve our work.

Where We Work

Aprender countries 2019.jpg

Why these countries? It’s where relationships have taken us. We started off serving schools in Brazil in 2010, creating and shaping Apto - our school improvement model. In 2014 we were invited to help refugee schools in Lebanon and since have been invited to work in other countries. We have an excellent partnership with PiXL and are helping supporting school improvement in the following countries:

We can do more and support in additional countries when funding permits.
