Empowering Teachers | Inspiring Children | Transforming Communities

Schools are judged by exam results. Children are remembered for
much more.

Education isn't only about what children know. It's about who they become—and the communities they help build.

The 3 C's
The three things a great school changes - and the three things we measure

Every thriving school improves three things. What children know. Who children become.

And how the whole school lives its values. We call these the 3 C's.

CURRENCY

The knowledge, skills and qualifications young people need to succeed. Literacy, numeracy, digital skills and examination outcomes remain important—but they are strongest when supported by Character and Culture.

Children leave with...

✓ Literacy

✓ Numeracy

✓ Qualifications

CHARACTER

Character is how young people learn to lead, collaborate, persevere and communicate. These qualities shape lives long after exams are forgotten.

Children leave with...

✓ Confidence

✓ Leadership

✓ Resilience

✓ Key employability skills

The 3 C's underpin every programme, every coaching conversation and every school improvement plan across the Apto Model.

CULTURE

Culture is how a school lives its values every day. Strong cultures create belonging, trust and lasting improvement that continues beyond individual leaders.

Schools become places of...

✓ Belonging

✓ Trust

✓ Continuous improvement

WHY THIS MATTERS

The strongest education systems don't choose between achievement, character and culture. They develop all three together.
