Apto Cascade
Great teaching shouldn't depend on where a child is born.
Apto Cascade spreads great teaching from one educator to thousands.
Apto Cascade equips experienced education leaders to train and coach others. Every layer develops the next, creating a sustainable movement of school improvement that continues long after individual projects end.
How a Fellowship of school leaders reaches ten million children
Aprender's reach grows through a four-tier cascade.
Each tier multiplies the next. Together, they turn a community of experienced school leaders giving two hours a week into a mechanism for system-wide change.

TIER ONE —
APTO FELLOWS
Experienced education leaders become Apto Fellows. They safeguard the quality of the model while equipping the next generation of coaches.
Three levels- Associate Fellow, Apto Fellow, and Senior Fellow, make the Fellowship a pathway, not a one-off appointment.
Each Fellow coaches an Apto Coach directly, by video call, on a weekly or fortnightly rhythm — asking questions rather than giving answers, so the Coach's own judgement grows stronger.
Target: 32 active Fellows by 2029.
TIER TWO —
IN-COUNTRY APTO COACHES
Local education officers, teacher educators and experienced school leaders become Apto Coaches. Because they belong to the system, the change lasts.
Each Coach trains and mentors school leaders and teachers in person, in their own language and their own schools — turning one coaching relationship into a classroom's worth of change, then another.
Target: 5,000 in-country Apto Coaches across 40 nations.

TIER THREE — SCHOOL LEADERS AND TEACHERS
Each Coach equips around 100 teachers and school leaders through practical coaching and professional learning.
Trained leaders and teachers change what happens in their own classrooms and staffrooms every day — through practical coaching and structured professional learning, not a one-off workshop.
Target: 500,000 educators trained.
TIER FOUR — CHILDREN
Children are our ultimate beneficiaries.
Children experience the difference in how they're taught, not through our programme reaching them directly, but through every adult above them in the chain improving through structured professional development.
Our bold ambition is based on the 100-educators-per-Coach and 20-children-per-educator ratios being current planning assumptions rather than validated figures; they will be tested and refined through MEL data collected across the next 3 years commencing September 2026, and the 10 million total reflects Aprender's ten-year ambition.
Target: 10 million children empowered.

Why most professional development doesn't scale
Most teacher training faces an impossible choice.
Reach thousands with one-off workshops or transform a handful of schools through intensive coaching.
Apto Cascade does both.
By training leaders inside national education systems, quality is protected while improvement spreads through local ownership—not external dependency.
