A message from our Chairman. Neil talks about his reasons to get involved with Aprender

Initially, my involvement with Aprender was driven through Phil’s (Aprender’s founder) enthusiasm and passion for education, especially for those children who find themselves in difficult circumstances. Phil had already been using his school summer holidays to travel to Brazil to help teachers with their professional development, something that doesn’t routinely happen in many countries. Demonstrating enormous commitment, faith and hope for opportunity and justice for young people, I felt that I could help Phil by picking up a lot of the ‘non-education’ tasks that need tackling for a UK incorporated charity. The rest, as they say, is history. I am proud to be part of a team of volunteer trustees, each bringing unique skills and commitments to Aprender, in support of Phil and our wonderful Apto Coaches..
