At Aprender, we believe geography, infrastructure and income should never determine the quality of education a child receives. More than 40 million teachers work in low- and lower-middle-income countries, where opportunities for high-quality continuous professional development remain extremely limited. At the same time, UNESCO estimates that the world will need around 44 million additional teachers by 2030 if every child is to receive a quality education.
The challenge is enormous, but so is the opportunity.
Traditional face-to-face training alone cannot meet this demand. It is expensive, time-consuming and difficult to scale across entire education systems.
